Coogee is a chilled beachside suburb with golden sands, facing the waves of the warm Pacific Ocean. Just 8km from the city centre and a short taxi ride from the airport (or the local 350 bus!), you’re going to want to leave the suits and ties at home, take a deep breath, and give yourself a pinch, just in case you can’t believe this vibrant seaside suburb is actually a part of Australia’s biggest city. Definitely back your swimming trunks and sunscreen, because the warm weather and patrolled beaches make it quite likely you’ll want to get your toes wet. Some comfortable walking shoes are a good idea too, because the Coogee to Bondi walking track is a MUST SEE. Within an hour or two, walk to Clovelly Beach, Bronte Beach, Tamarama beach and Bondi, and come to understand why houses and apartments in this area are some of the most expensive in Australia. Friday 15 March 2024: 9am to 5pm. ADR Academic/CME Day (Open Meeting). Program & Speakers TBA. Includes lunch.
Saturday 16 March 2024: 9am to 3:45pm. Recovery meetings / workshops (Open only to members in Recovery). Includes lunch. 6:30pm ADR Dinner (Open to members and partners/family), venue TBA, Coogee area.
Sunday 17 March 2024: 9am to 1pm. Recovery meetings / workshops continuing (as above, includes lunch).

Full 3 day (3 lunches, Saturday dinner inclusive) $570
2-day ( 2 lunches, Saturday dinner inclusive) $470 (Fri/Sat) or $ 420 (Sat/Sun)
Single day (includes lunch, not Saturday dinner) $220

Coogee has a range of hotels and self-catering apartments on the beach including:
Coogee Bay Hotel (ADR venue)
Crowne Plaza Coogee Beach (large beachfront hotel, immediately adjacent to the ADR venue)
Coogee Sands Hotel and Apartments (also on the beach, 5 minutes walk to ADR)
There are also a lot of Air B’nBs in the Coogee Beach area.
Staying in the Sydney CBD is also an option, with the 373 bus route taking 30-40 minutes to reach the beach. A light rail also goes most of the way to Coogee (as far as Randwick), with connecting buses or Ubers from there.
